A Friend of a friend knows a friend of their friend
In 1929, Frigyes Karinthy wrote that there were six degrees of separation between any two people in the world. This has long been the accepted wisdom on the matter and even plays and movies used the the figure in themes and plots over the years.
That tidy, rounded figure of 6 may now have to re-evaluated following some research by Facebook on its active users - those users who log in to the website at least once every twenty eight days.
Facebook has found that the figure is actually closer to 4, (3.74 to be precise) which means, effectively, that the person you bumped into on the street this morning is closer to your social circle than you might think. A friend of a friend knows a friend of their friend.

The End of Flash
When Steve Jobs categorically stated that the iPad would not support Flash, the decision seemed unbelieveably harsh on a technology that has helped lead the way in creating attractive and exciting content for the past ten years.
The benefits of HTML5 are clear, however the elimination of Flash seemed like an aggressive attempt to decide the future of tablet content development.
Well, if you are a Flash developer, and you are still unsure whether you should expand your skill set, you need to consider the following:
Microsoft tested close to 100,000 web sites, and found 62% of them do use Flash..... but in many of those cases, only to display ads.
As a result, Microsoft is ditching support for Flash on the Metro version of Internet Explorer 10.
If it was not clear already, it should be crystal clear now: Flash is dead.
Long live Silverlight, anyone?! |

If you want to increase website sales, you need to consider something as simple as spelling.
One of the key ways your website visitors scrutinise your credibility is by looking closely at how strict you are about ensuring your copy meets high standards for spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Proof-reading website copy is something which can be quite easily achieved, can give you an edge over your competitors and can have serious negative effects if ignored.
